You can change the dates of a reservation in Guesty or the reservation channel of origin, depending on the channel.

Reservations are limited to a maximum of 730 nights; bookings longer than this can't be processed.
How date changes affect pricing
For confirmed reservations, changing the number of nights impacts the added costs, but doesn't affect the original reservation price. Date changes affect pricing in the following ways:
- Adding nights: New nights use current pricing, while original nights keep their rates.
- Remove nights: If you subtract nights from a reservation, the remaining nights keep the original price.
- Per-night fees and taxes: Update when you add or remove nights from the reservation.

Example: A reservation was confirmed for two nights at a rate of $30 per night. The price per night has since been optimized by a revenue management tool and is now $32. If you add a night to the reservation, the price per night for the original two nights remains $30. The price of the added night is $32. Fees and taxes charged per night are calculated according to the original price for the first two nights and according to the adjusted price for the added night. Fees and taxes charged per stay or per guest are not affected. |
For a reservation in "Inquiry" or "Reserved" status, changes to the reservation trigger a recalculation of the price per night, fees, and taxes.

Price reductions
Changing the reservation's length of stay may qualify it for applicable weekly/monthly discounts. For example, if you set a weekly discount, and you change the length of the reservation from 3 to 7 days, the discount will be applied automatically.
Where to change the dates of a reservation
Change the dates of a reservation in Guesty or the channel according to the information below.

After check-in, you can change the dates via Guesty only once every 24 hours. For reservations before check-in or if less than 24 hours have passed since your latest change, alter the dates via Booking.com. To change the reservation price as well, check if you manage your Booking.com payments with a Booking.com payment solution. If you do, change the price via the Booking.com Extranet. If you manage payments on your own, change the price via Guesty. |

Change the dates of a reservation via Guesty
Follow the instructions below to relocate a reservation via Guesty.
Step by step
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click More and select Reservations.
- Click the relevant reservation.
- For Airbnb reservations, click
and select Edit reservation. For other reservations, click
. - Scroll down to "Check-in - check-out".
- Click the check-in or check-out date and select new dates.
- To the right of “Summary”, click Change.
- Booking.com: A date change requires approval by Booking.com. To the right of “Summary”, click Continue. In the pop-up, click Submit request. Guesty submits the date change request to Booking.com, and the reservation is updated in Guesty once Booking.com makes the changes. Check your availability before submitting the change, as Booking.com does not automatically check if the new dates are available.
- In the pop-up, enter the relevant information. If you don't want the accommodation fare to be recalculated for the added nights, use the arrows to the right of "Accommodation fare" to adjust the total accommodation fare (and not just the price difference). To update taxes or additional fees, adjust the line item in the guest folio.
- Click Save.
A record of all changes to the accommodation fare will appear in the guest folio's nightly breakdown. If the dates are changed after check-in, the VAT price difference, for example, will appear on a separate line item in the folio, under the original VAT.

You can also change the dates of a reservation via the Multi-Calendar or the Inbox. Find the relevant reservation, then click
in the right side panel.
Troubleshoot date change issues

If extending the reservation, check the listing's calendar to see if additional dates are available. Other reservations or manual blocks may be preventing the extension.
