Some partners in Guesty's Marketplace will create custom fields (variables) in your reservations and feed them with information for each new reservation.
Often, one of these custom fields is a unique link that guests must use to complete their check-in or provide information.
Use custom fields from integrated partners in your automated messages. This process applies to all partners that use custom fields: Chekin and Truvi
How it works
- Create an account with the partner.
- Connect the partner in the Marketplace. For specific connection guidelines, refer to the partner's dedicated help center article.
- Share the variables in your automated messages. To see what variables you can use for each partner, check their respective partner pages.
- Add a 15 or 20 minutes delay for this message since reservation creation - this will give time for the partner to receive the reservation and process the Guesty variable.
Example use case
Each of the partners creates at least 1 (one) variable with a link that needs to be completed by the guest.
- Chekin: {{chekin_guest_registration_link}}
- Truvi: {{superhogverificationurl}}
In your "Booking confirmation" automated message, add the variable.
If the guest complains of an empty link, open the reservation and locate the link. Manually copy it and send it to the guest via the Inbox.
Use a custom field as a message condition
You can use the custom field as a condition for automated messages. For example, set up a reminder message for guests who haven't completed the check-in form.
For Chekin
- Condition: "Chekin all guests registered" is "No".
- Action: Send a reminder to the guest, explaining why it's important to complete the form.
- Variable: {{chekin_guest_registration_link}}
For Truvi
- Condition: "Superhog verified" is "No".
- Action: Send a reminder to the guest.
- Variable: {{superhogverificationurl}}
Tip:
Chekin includes optional features for processing upsells, taxes, or deposits. Include those relevant variables in your automated messages too.
