Troubleshooting: Switching to full sync connection type

If you encounter issues when switching from rates and availability to full sync connection typ, try these troubleshooting solutions.

To change the connection type from "Rates & availability" to "Full sync", the listing's title in Guesty needs to meet Booking.com requirements. The listing title has special characters, emojis, repetitive special characters, or repetitive capitalized letters in the listing title

Follow the instructions below to resolve:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click Listings.
  3. Select the relevant listing.
  4. In the left-side menu, click Marketing.
  5. Click Descriptions.
  6. Click Edit.
  7. Update the listing title.
  8. Click Save.

To change the connection type from "Rates & availability to "Full sync", first add the room type to the title in the listing's settings in Guesty. Listing nickname has special characters emojis, repetitive special characters, or repetitive capitalized letters in the listing title

Follow the instructions below to resolve:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click Listings.
  3. Click the relevant listing.
  4. In the left sub menu, click Settings.
  5. Next to "Nickname", click Edit.
  6. Enter the new nickname in the field provided.

    The character limit for the nickname field is 20 characters.

  7. Click Save.

To change the connection type from "Rates & availability" to "Full sync", first go to Booking.com's extranet to add the property's size. The property size field is empty.

Follow the instructions below to resolve:

  1. Access the Booking.com Extranet.
  2. Click Property.
  3. Click Room amenities.
  4. Add the property size.
  5. Click Save.
The connection type cannot be changed from "Rates & availability" to "Full" sync because this listing is part of a complex in Guesty. Your listing has multiple rooms Complexes aren't supported.
