Calendar-based tasks tied to a reservation may disappear from the reservation page when you move the reservation to a different property.
Understand task visibility
When you create a calendar-based task, Guesty anchors it to the property where the reservation was originally booked. If you later move the reservation to a different property, the task remains attached to the original property and doesn't follow the reservation.
Because the reservation page only displays tasks linked to the reservation's current property, the task no longer appears there. It remains linked to the reservation ID and continues to show up in task reports and CSV downloads.
Note:
This behavior applies only to calendar-based tasks. When you move a reservation to another property, auto-tasks for the original property are canceled, and new auto-tasks are generated based on the new property's settings.
Update tasks after a property change
Whenever a reservation is moved to a new property, you'll need to manually update its calendar-based tasks.
Step by step:
- Locate the relevant task in the tasks report to review the original task details.
- Create a new calendar-based task identical to the task you want to replace, and assign the new property.
- Delete the original task that remained attached to the previous property.
