Pilot: Setting up an income report

When managing multiple properties and tracking financial performance, Guesty’s Income report provides a comprehensive solution to help you create, view, edit, save, and export financial data across different time periods.

Before you begin

To view the Income report, you need to:

  • Connect to your Airbnb account and import your listings.
  • Have at least one active reservation.

Navigate to the income report

When you navigate to the income report page, the default view displays key financial metrics for your current month's reservations.

Follow the instructions below to navigate to the income report.

Step by step

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click More, then select Income report.

Create a custom income report

You can customize your report by adding specific columns and creating filters. For example, you may filter to show only certain listings, allowing you to tailor the report to your needs

Follow the instructions below to create a customized income report.

Step by step

  1. Add or remove filters and columns to adjust the data:

    Filters affect both the table results and the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) summary metrics above the table.

    • Click next to any KPI for more information about the specific KPI.

    • Click the circle plus icon next to "Filters" and select the desired filter. Enter the relevant information, then click Save.

    • To edit a filter, hover over the name of a filter and click the Pencil icon. In the pop-up, make the necessary changes and click Save. In the top-right corner, click Save to update the current filter or Save as to save as a new filter.
    • To delete a filter, hover over the name of a filter and click ✕ or click the Pencil icon and in the pop-up, click Remove. In the top-right corner, click Save to update the current filter or Save as to Save as a new filter.
    • To add a column, click Columns at the top right. Toggle column names on or off to add or remove them.
  2. Click Save as new custom report.
  3. Type a name for the custom report and click Save

Note:

  • The "Stay dates" filter displays all reservations that include a date within the specified filter.
  • If you encounter a problem adding columns or filters, check that you have at least one reservation with this value. Only values recorded in at least one reservation can be used in the report.  

View and bookmark saved reports

To view your saved reports, click the downward arrow next to the name of the current report being presented, above "Filters". Select the relevant report from the list.

To bookmark a report, hover over it and click the star to the right. It will be added to the "Favorites" section of the reports list. 

Delete a custom income report

The default reports cannot be deleted, only the additional reports you've created. 

Locate the relevant report you'd like to delete by clicking the downward arrow next to the name of the current report being presented, above "Filters". Hover over it, and click Trash icon.

Share an income report

Email report 

You can share the income report directly with contacts or cleaners who have a valid email address updated in Guesty. To share, apply filters to your report, and at the top-right corner, click the square share icon . Select the relevant contacts or users from the dropdown menu. Configure the message attached to the report and choose to send it Once or Repeat weekly on selected days. Click Share.  

Share link

You can share the income report with non-Guesty users such as owners, cleaners, and operations teams via a secure link that displays live, read-only data. 

To share, apply filters to your report, and at the top-right corner, click Share link icon. Select the relevant contacts or users from the dropdown menu, configure your message, and click Share. Recipients receive an email with the report link, which can be shared through any communication method without requiring a Guesty login to view the report.

You can revoke access to a link at any time or let it automatically expire after 1 year.
To revoke access, click the vertical ellipsis at the top-right corner of the report, select Manage sharing preferences. In the pop-up, click Trash icon next to the link, and click Save.

Expired links generate the following message: “This report has expired. Please contact {account.email} to request a new link.” 

Rename an income report

To rename a report or manage its sharing rules, click the vertical ellipsis at the top-right corner of the report and select Rename. Click Save in the pop-up.

Print and download an income report

To print an income report, click the vertical ellipsis at the top-right corner and select Print

When downloading your income report, two CSV file formats are available:

  • Comma-Separated CSV
  • Semicolon-Separated CSV

The semicolon format is compatible with spreadsheet tools in regions where commas are used as decimal points (Poland, Germany, France etc.). Both formats use UTF-8 encoding to support special characters.

To download a report click the download csv icon . The report is sent to your email as a CSV file.

To download the report as a semicolon-separated CSV, under "Need a different CSV format?" click Click here.

Note:

To ensure a quick download of your reports, remove any columns that aren’t relevant and sort the report by check-in date.
