Adding a payment method to a reservation is the first step of collecting a payment from your guest.

Step by Step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the side navigation menu, click
Reservation report. - Select the relevant reservation.
- In the submenu, click Payments.
- Click Add payment method.
- In the pop-up, fill in the relevant information.
- The only optional field is "State".
- Be sure to enter an actual address. Entering "NA" may prevent the validation of the created card details and lead to failed/disputed payments.
- Click Add new payment method.

Assign a payment method to a payment
Whenever there are existing payments for a reservation, simply adding a new payment method to the reservation is not enough. You need to edit the existing payments to update the new credit card, or cancel and recreate them with the new credit card. Read how in this article.
