You can automatically block nights before and/or after a reservation to give yourself time to prepare the listing for the next guest. This is available for any listing that has availability configured, either set to be always available or set to unavailable, with at least one rental period configured. Blocked dates appear in the calendar as diagonal gray stripes labeled "Preparation time".
The preparation time block is a flexible block, meaning you can override it.
How preparation time blocks work
- Guesty automatically removes preparation time blocks when a reservation is canceled. You can also remove them manually. The blocks are removed across all booking channels.
- Guesty only adds or removes preparation time blocks for reservations confirmed after you set up the block. Contact us to add or remove a block for existing reservations.
- Preparation time blocks can overlap. For example, if you block "2 nights before and after each reservation", and there are exactly two nights between one reservation's check-out and the next reservation's check-in.
