Publishing a listing to Vrbo

After you connect your Vrbo account, you can publish your listings on Vrbo directly from Guesty. This guide explains the steps required to ensure your listing is properly set up and connected. 

Listings that are listed in Vrbo are not automatically imported or synced with Guesty. Listings must be created in Guesty and published to Vrbo, one listing at a time. There is no need to recreate the same listing in Vrbo.

Follow the instructions below to publish a listing to Vrbo according to the connection type you have.

Before you begin

Before connecting your listing, ensure the following:

  • You have verified your log in credentials are correct by logging in to Vrbo.
  • The listing is imported from Airbnb into Guesty.
  • The listing is listed.
  • Check your property details, pricing, and availability are the same across both Guesty and Vrbo update them accordingly if necessary.

Publish the listing

Follow the instructions below to publish a listing.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click Channels and select Vrbo.
  3. To the right of the relevant account, click Publish listing.
  4. In the pop-up, click the listing(s) you want to publish.
  5. Click Connect.
  6. Click Add to channel.
  7. Navigate to your Vrbo dashboard and complete the registration number form for the listing to go live.

    Changes take up to one hour to sync across platforms.

Verify your Vrbo advertisement plan

  • Pay Per Booking (PPB): Listings go live automatically.
  • Pay Per Subscription (PPS): Purchase a subscription for the listing to go live.
  • No default plan: Listing remain in "Preview" status until converted to PPB or PPS.

Handling a failed listing

If the listing status is "Failed" after attempting to publish, click Retry under the "Actions" tab. If the status remains "Failed" after two retries, contact us for further assistance.

Once submitted, a listing may take up to 72 hours for Vrbo to approve. Once approved, its status will change to "Connected" on the Vrbo integration page within 48 hours. Learn now to verify a Vrbo listing is connected.
