Setting a primary contact number

You can set a primary phone number for your contacts. When a contact has only one phone number, that number will be set as the primary number by default. 

Limitations

• If you enter a phone number with too many digits, the number won't be saved. This includes numbers imported to Guesty from the booking channel.
• There can only be one phone number for each of your vendors.
• When saving a guest's phone number, you must include the area code and omit the plus (+) character. Otherwise, you may encounter a save or validation error on the reservation.

Set a primary number

The contacts section allows you to add new guests who haven't booked a reservation before. Follow the instructions below to set a contact's primary phone number. 

Step by step:

1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
2. In the side navigation menu, click Operations to open the dropdown menu.
3. Select Contacts.
4. Click on the relevant contact.
5. In the submenu, click Contact profile.
6. Hover over the "Contact details" section, and click Edit on the right.
7. Under "Phone", hover over the field of the relevant number, and click on the star icon to the right. The primary number will be indicated by a blue star.
8. Click Save.
